Weddings are one of the most intense experiences for any one person, let alone one couple. The question has been asked, the answer was a resounding YES! With that YES your life is about to change forever. There will be stresses, family politics, where are we going to live, shared bank accounts and we haven’t event gotten to organising the wedding yet!
Chatting to Bec the other day, Director at our Carlingford salon who recently got engaged, I shake my head when I hear from her all that has changed in her life since getting engaged. Is it worth all the hassle? Yes it is!
Briony and I just celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary, and it is a day in both our lives we will never forget. It’s a very special day, when all your loved ones come together to celebrate you and your new partner in life. I have attached a couple of photos from our special day to share with you.
The day goes very quickly, and my advice to anyone getting married is to sit back and enjoy it as much as possible. We get very caught up in the preparation of the day and forget to enjoy ourselves. When our wedding celebrations had finished, Briony and I were walking out of the function room, we looked at each other and said it’s over, that’s gone way too quickly. So we went back to the function room grabbed all our mates and took everyone up to our room. We partied until three in the morning. If you do plan to do this, do not book an early flight the next morning to go on your honeymoon. We made that mistake.
Once all the organising is done, enjoy the moment, don’t stress on the day and trust you have done everything to make it a great day. Plus – there is nothing else you can do once the day has arrived!
